Summary: The California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) requires that Lodi Unified School District (District), as the Lead Agency, assess the potential for, and significance of, impacts to elements of the natural and human environment of the Lodi High School site.
The Lodi Unified School District has reviewed the proposed project and determined that although the proposed project could have a significant effect on the environment, there will not be a significant effect in this case because revisions in the project have been made by or agreed to by the project proponent. The proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration has been prepared pursuant to Title 14, Chapter 3, Section 15070 of the California Code of Regulations.
Having reviewed the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) and carefully considered its analysis and the suggested mitigation measures, staff hereby finds the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration adequately analyzes all impacts that the Lodi High School project may have as described in the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan.
Consistent with the rules of order under which the Board of Education conducts its meetings, a period of public comment will be opened in order for the Board to accept comments on the findings in the Initial Study (IS). Availability of the IS has been advertised as required by law.
Funding: This Public Hearing has no financial impact on the District.
Recommendation: This hearing is required by statute as part of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) process. No action by the Board is required following the Public Hearing.
