Summary: The Lodi Unified School District is proposing a transition and expansion of the Joe Serna Jr. Charter (K-8) school, located in Lodi, California to Houston School (K-8), located in Acampo, California, prepared an Initial Study and proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration evaluation the environmental effects of construction the project.
On or about April 15, 2019, the Initial Study and proposed Mitigated Negative Declaration was circulated, posted, and advertised pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (“CEQA”) for 30-day public review and comment.
The thirty (30) day public comment period for the Mitigated Negative Declaration ended on or about May 15, 2019 and a public hearing was held on May 7, 2019.
The Board, having reviewed the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration and carefully considered its analysis and the suggested mitigation measures, hereby finds that the Initial Study and Mitigated Negative Declaration adequately analyzes all impacts that the project may have and hereby approves adoption of a Mitigated Negative Declaration for the project and concurrently adopts the mitigation measures described in the Mitigation Monitoring and Reporting Plan attached to the resolution for this project as Exhibit A.
Funding: There is no financial impact with approval of this Resolution.
Recommendation: It is recommended approval of Resolution 2019-57.
