The City of Stockton and Lodi Unified School District (the “District”) jointly applied for and received funding from the 2008/2009 State-legislated Safe Routes to School Program (SR2S), in the amount of $33,000 for the installation of speed feedback display signs at Ansel Adams Elementary.
The District has offered to provide the required 10% matching funds associated with their respective portions of the project as part of the original grant application.
The City of Stockton plans to construct the SR2S improvements desired by the District consisting of speed feedback display signs along Glacier Point Drive, Stockton, Ca.
Approval of this resolution will allow staff to proceed cooperatively with the City of Stockton on the construction of this project. |

The estimated project cost is $33,000 as per attached Exhibit A. The District has agreed to provide the required 10% match of $3,300. Funding will come through Measure L Safety Funds. |

It is recommended that the Board of Education adopt Resolution 2009-79. |
